Summer wedding at Sant Ffraed House, Abergavenny - Sarah and Stephen
So it started with a phone call off Stephen one dark, damp October evening. " Are you availble on the 1st of July next year " he asked ! I checked my diary there and then and the date was available ! but there was something booked in for 6 am the following morning .... flights to Ibiza for my sisters wedding. After saying yes to Sarah and Stephen I was busy planning how I could manage a full 15 hour wedding day, 1 hour drive home, backup all my memory cards, pack my bags, try not to forget passports, get my twins dressed and ready and then travel 2 hours to the airport ! Well I did fall asleep on the floor of the departure lounge 😴 but did manage to capture the truly amazing wedding for Sarah and Stephen and we just about boarded our flight to Ibiza to celebrate my sisters wedding 3 days later.
The old advert goes if Carlsberg did.. well that's true of Sant Ffraed House ! If Carlsberg did wedding venues then Sant Ffraed House would be it ! What an absolutely stunning venue. The Grade II listed country house is nestled in the beautiful Welsh countryside with views to die for. The staff and setup at Sant Ffraed House is nothing short of excellence.
The day started perfectly at Sarah's sisters house for breakfast, Prosecco and bridal preps. A calm relaxed atmosphere was the recipe for the day ahead. I arrived at the venue a few hours later full of excitement, the sun was shining and the venue was like something out of a movie 🤩 a strong 10/10 for the wow factor !!! The guests took their seats as Sarah arrived with Dad arm in arm and once again the wow factor was 10/10 Sarah looked a million dollars ( I'm sure I seen a few tears from Stephen 😊 ) After the service we headed out on to the lawn for drinks and canapés the glorious Summer sun then the day was in full flow. There were tears and laughter during the speeches and everyone danced the night away, what an amazing day !! These guys made me feel so welcome and I honestly felt like part of their family, such a lovely couple with a beautiful family xxx
